We are delighted to announce that at BC & Alberta Guide Dogs’ Annual General Meeting on December 4, 2017, three new members were elected to the Board of Directors – Linda Reid, MLA (Chair), Hon. Kerry-Lynne D. Findlay, PC, QC (Treasurer) and Kelly Guichon (Director).

Linda Reid is the MLA for Richmond South Centre and is one of the longest serving MLAs in British Columbia having served consecutive terms for over 20 years. Hon. Kerry-Lynne D. Findlay is a certified civil family law mediator and a collaborative lawyer and was appointed to the Queen’s Counsel in 1999 and Canada’s Privy Counsel in 2013. She was a Member of Parliament, representing the electoral district of Delta-Richmond East from 2011 to 2015. Kelly Guichon is a Leadership and Management Consulting Professional, and President of KWG Enterprises, a consultancy that assists with the development and establishing of small businesses in Delta.

“We are excited to have these three accomplished and successful individuals joining our Board. They each bring a wealth of professional experience and expertise and we are proud to welcome each of them to the Team,” said William Thornton, BC & Alberta Guide Dogs, CEO/co-founder. “I am confident that they will help us advance our mission to meet the growing demand for professionally trained Guide Dogs and Autism Support Dogs for citizens of British Columbia and Alberta.”
