Susan and Bob LeBlevec have been running the annual BS Invitational Curling Bonspiel for 25 years  (BS as in Bob and Susan).

Although it began as a group of Bob’s friends getting together for his birthday (originally the “3 B Invitational” – Bob’s Birthday Bonspeil), it has evolved into a fun event AND a fundraiser for local children’s charities.  Each year they change the children’s charity or charities who they donate to as a way to spread donations around.  They want their donation to make an impact, so they choose local, smaller charities or charities which are near and dear to our friends’ hearts.

This year, they chose BC and Alberta Guide Dogs because of it’s local affiliation and for the good work it does for children with autism.  Over the years, the BS Invitational has raised nearly $300,000 for local charities. This year’s Bonspeil took place on March 5, 2016 and they donated $5,000 to BC & Alberta Guide Dogs. We would like to thank Bob and Susan and the generosity of their friends and community for this amazing donation!
