A big thank you to all of our attendees who joined us for our 22nd Annual London Drugs Golf for Guide Dogs Tournament in support of our Guide and Service Dog programs. The event was held on Friday, August 23 at the Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club in Richmond and was hosted by Leah and Howie Meeker, C.M. We enjoyed seeing many returning golfers, as well as some new faces!
MC and Auctioneer Steve Darling kept our evening reception moving swiftly along and encouraged bids for our live and silent auction items. Thank you to the donors of our auction items for your contribution to the day’s success.
Speaker Heather Minchinton spoke about the difference that Autism Support Dog, Cory has made in her son Caleb’s life. Caleb is one of a set of triplets, where all three boys are on the autism spectrum, so Cory has not only helped Caleb, but his brothers as well. A warm thank you to Heather for sharing her story.
Finally, we would like to recognize our sponsors, organizers and volunteers. Your support enables us to make a life-changing difference for people who are blind or visually-impaired, children with profound autism, and military and RCMP Veterans living with Post Traumatic Stress.
