We are very happy to announce that this year’s 9th Annual Kitz4Kids Fundraiser in memory of Andrew Dolejsi raised just over $15,000 for the BC & Alberta Guide Dogs’ Autism Support Dogs program!
The successful evening took place on January 20, 2017 at the Riverrock Casino Resort and included a buffet dinner, live & silent auctions, live music from Quickness, local comedian Ivan Decker, and Emcee Douglas Dolejsi. The evening also featured speeches from our CEO, William Thornton, Chairman of the Board, Rupert Bullock and one of our Autism Support Dog graduate families, Heather Stevens. Heather spoke about how their Autism Support Dog, Roman, has changed her family’s lives. Her two sons, Sawyer and Ryker, both have autism and are sharing Roman.
Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s event and donated their time and money to Autism Support Dogs! We are very appreciative of the fundraising done not only on the night of the event, but throughout the year. We would like to thank Eva, Lad & Douglas Dolejsi for hosting an amazing event. Special thanks to Eva who organizes, plans and fundraises all year for this event! We can not thank you enough for being an advocate for our organization!
We would also like to thank siblings, Theron and Harlo Dolejsi, and their cousin Violet Dolejsi who raised $1,818 through their homemade lemonade stand and bake sales. Their compassion and dedication for spreading awareness for Autism Support Dogs is truly remarkable. A thank you also goes out to their parents Geof, Morgan, Ryan & Lindsay.
See you all again next year for a very special 10th Annual Kitz4Kids Fundraiser.
