Provincial Outreach Program for Autism and Related Disorders (POPARD) is a Ministry of Education program providing services to schools in BC for students with ASD. They also provide training programs for adults.
All of our Autism Support Dog Instructors undergo training at POPARD in Delta, BC. Each Instructor attends two one-week courses on Autism and Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA therapy) and must pass a test given by the program at the end of each week. We believe having an education in autism and its related intricacies is very important.
