Thursday, Sept. 20

Thankful Thursdays – A great big thank you to our good friends Enterprise Rent A Car Canada Foundation who recently donated $1,500 on the recommendation of their client Concours Collision Centres. Ken and Concours Collision Centres have been long-time champions of life-changing Guide and Autism Dogs. Our thanks to them, and to Enterprise Rent A Car, for the continued support. Together, we are transforming lives one dog at a time.

 

 

Thursday, Sept. 13

Thankful Thursdays – Puppy training is the cornerstone of our organization. We wouldn’t be able to graduate Guide and Autism Support Dogs without dedicated volunteers who teach our puppies basic obedience and socialize them to different places, spaces and people in their first year and half of life.

We have an AMAZING puppy trainer volunteer family and are thankful to each and every volunteer for their passion and dedication. Thank you volunteers!

Thursday, September 6

Thankful Thursdays – The Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation was formed in 2015 and is committed to bringing positive change to the lives of Albertans. We are so grateful to report that Alberta Guide Dogs has been chosen as one the 2018 community recipients and has received $15,000 from this fabulous foundation.

One of the ways the foundation raises funds is through 50/50 Ticket Sales at their events. So if you’re going out to the “Masters” at Spruce Meadows this weekend make sure to purchase a 50/50 ticket and support initiatives like Guide and Autism Support Dogs.

 

Thursday, August 30

Thankful Thursdays – A huge thank you to London Drugs for having our coin collection tins at their Alberta locations throughout the month of August. Ellie’s mom reported that her daughter was very excited to empty her entire change purse into the can. (That would be mom’s change purse, not Ellie’s change purse).

 

 

Thursday, August 23

Thankful Thursdays – This week’s shout out goes to Masterbuilt Hotels and Super 8 Calgary Shawnessy for their recent $5,000 donation. They had a party to celebrate with us. There was a cake (the puppies were sad to learn this was only for the humans), a chance to meet all of the wonderful staff at the Shawnessy location and a chance for our puppies-in-training to practice their modelling skills. Thanks Super 8 Calgary Shawnessy for being part of our donor family.

 

Thursday, August 16

Thankful Thursdays – A big shout out to Jupiter Resources Inc today for their support. They doubled their donation to us this year. Alberta Guide Dogs puppy-in-training Oscar enjoyed the view from their Calgary office when he popped by to say thank you.

Thankful Thursdays – We’re so grateful to be a @telusspark Community Connections partner in Calgary. Such an incredible facility for our puppies-in-training to visit to practice their manners and work on their skills. The Community Access Program at Telus Spark is presented by Crescent Point Energy. Our thanks to both of these organizations for this great program.
