We’re excited to share that BC & Alberta Guide Dogs was recently featured by CityNews Vancouver, highlighting our new Victor and Anna Kern Breeding & Training Centre in Delta and the work happening behind the scenes to prepare the next generation of Guide and Service Dogs.

The story takes viewers inside our new facility and explores how the centre is helping us expand our breeding and training programs as the need for Guide and Service Dogs continues to grow.

From our specialized canine reproduction lab and neonatal unit to puppy training and enrichment spaces, the centre was designed to support our dogs at every stage of their journey.

But while the new facility gives us more space and resources, it’s our incredible community that makes the work possible. Our dedicated staff, volunteers, puppy raisers, donors and supporters all play an important role in helping each dog reach their future career.

We’re proud to give CityNews a behind-the-scenes look at the people, puppies and purpose behind our new home, and to share our vision for helping more people access the support and independence that a Guide or Service Dog can provide.
